June Events on The North Fork of Long Island’s East End

Most of our guests come to the North Fork and stay at our Bed and Breakfast to visit the wineries, 6 of which they can walk to. But besides wineries, and world class restaurants, people sometimes want to know what else they can do while they visit the North Fork. In the first of a 5 part monthly blog series, we will look at some of the events scheduled for late spring, summer and fall. Some of these events are new, and some have been entertaining visitors for decades. Here is what is going on in the month of June:

Noon-5 pm, Self-guided tour of five inns which will offer a tste from a local restaurant and winery $75, Proceeds benefit the Peconic Land Trust

Hulling night

5-9pm, Mattituck Lion’s Club Strawberry Festival

Strawberry Fields Fairgrounds, Route 48, Mattituck.

Complimentary snacks and veferages, door prizes, Carnival rides $20

13th Annual Riverhead Blues and Music Festival

Live music on 4 stages, vendors, food and fun for the whole family!

Shelter Island 10k Run

5pm Shelter Island, rain or shine.

Post-race party with a barbecue a nd live music.

Benefits East End Hospice, Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch and Shelter Island Community fund.

Greenport Gallery Walk

6-9pm Visit Greenport for an evening of gallery hopping, gallery talks and refreshments. View the best of what’s happening in the arts in Greenport.

(Restaurants and shops will stay open late.)

Building on Tradition Gala, North Fork Community Theater

7pm Stonewall’s Restaurant, Reeves Ave., Riverhead

Event raises money to purchase the building where the theater group has performed for over 50 years. Feathers live performances, food, live auction and raffles.



June 23

East End Seaport Evening Lighthouse Cruise

4-7 pm This cruise last three hours. We will see 4 lighthouses.  Deli box supper and a complimentary glass of wine or bottle of water is included in the price.

Prices - Museum members, Southold Town residents, and members of Groups with 10+ participants should register at the Member Rate of $85 per person.  Non-members pay $95 per person.  Child/Teen - $60.
