Make February Valentine’s Month in the Heart of Wine Country

Although February 14 is Valentine’s Day, the entire month of February is Valentines month on the North Fork. Bed and Breakfasts like Andrew’s Legacy offer couples romantic get-aways in the heart of wine country. Although B&B owners are always accommodating, this is the time of the year that they really go out of their way to create the most memorable romantic escapes possible for couples, making dinner reservations, ordering flowers, or chilling bottles of champagne to make sure everything is just right. Some (like Andrew’s Legacy hostess Liz) have even gone as far as helping nervous fiancés-to-be plan the perfect moment to pop the question.

Our legendary sunsets, miles of pristine beaches and beautiful vineyards and wineries all come together to make this the best place to be for couples looking for romance. And on top of this we now have our Winterfest Jazz on the Vine where most of the wineries or offering terrific live music at their venues. Click here if you are interested in the schedule for Jazz on the vine. It goes on until mid-March, but make sure to make your reservations early because most B&B’s are offering specials and are filling up quickly. A box of chocolates or a bouquet of roses are nice, but make your Valentine really happy by booking a room on the romantic North Fork of Long Island.

B&B owners go out of their way to make sure your moment is perfect. Here is a bottle of champagne and red roses all ready in the Madeline Room at Andrew’s Legacy.

A guest made arrangements weeks in advance to ensure this beautiful heart-shaped cake would be ready for his sweetheart.

Antique red and pink glassware and a beautiful centerpiece with hearts further enhance the Valentine mood at Andrew’s Legacy.

When we first opened we decorated our Valentine table with pink and white “sweetheart” candies. It didn’t take long for us to realize that our real life sweethearts were passing them back and forth to each other, picking out the special messages that were most meaningful to them, so we have used them on our Valentine’s table ever since.
