Early Fall Sound crossing, New London to Orient Point

Many of our guests come from New England via the Cross Sound Ferry. Some stay with us before going up to Mohegan Sun or another destination. We often take the ferry to visit relatives in Boston. When the weather is good, the ride on the ferry can be an amazing part of your trip. The sites are incredible and the fresh salt air is invigorating. It’s a relaxing and easy way to get to the North Fork of Long Island, and although it has gotten a little pricey, what you save in gas, time and aggravation, and what you gain in experience is worth the cost.  Here are some pictures I took on a recent trip showing points of interest in Connecticut, Orient Point and sites along the way. New Londondsc_0325.JPGdsc_0330.jpgdsc_0344.jpgdsc_0359.jpgdsc_0371.JPGdsc_0429.jpgdsc_0489.JPGdsc_0512.JPGdsc_0566.JPG
